About Us

What is a total contractor?
A total contractor is a construction company that carries out several activities in the field of construction. It ensures the delivery of a structure with all the functions and techniques, compliant and ready assembled, at a price, with a performance and within a deadline specified in the terms of a contract.
It is known for its multidisciplinarity: It designs plans, estimates costs, seeks financing options, advises and collaborates with the architect of the project.

Of course, the total enterprise also plays a role as an advisor. Its executives and project managers suggest, recommend, or advise against materials, techniques, and service providers.
A real estate project contains two main phases:
- The design phase, in which the architect and specialized contractors work with the owner to define the project and prepare specifications (plans and descriptions).
- The construction phase, which corresponds to the period of physical realization of the structure (construction site).
The total contractor contract is therefore a model that includes these two phases within a single structure.
In this organization, Naturabois directly contracts the architect and the specialized contractors for the design phase.
Subsequently, the construction phase is also entrusted to Naturabois as contractor.
It is thus responsible for the realization of the construction and, if necessary, establishes its own contracts with subcontractors.
It also assumes the management of the construction works on the site by directly supervising the activities of the different trades.
Observation and supervision are the main activities of the total contractor.
Thus, he carefully selects the materials and corrects as soon as possible any manufacturing defects detected.
Vanina Van Rooyen
Vanina Van Rooyen is Belgian and comes from the province of Liège. She has been working in the real estate sector for over 15 years, in particular in the management and development of family assets.
Recognized both for her professional skills and her human qualities, she constantly makes her experience and know-how available to her colleagues and clients, putting the well-being of her partners at the forefront, whatever their field of activity.
After numerous very enriching experiences in the international real estate sector, Vanina becomes a board member of Naturabois, a company belonging to a Swiss-based group mainly active in the construction of CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) buildings.
Naturabois is very proud to be run by a woman with an iron hand in a velvet glove, which is exceptional in an industry where you have to prove yourself to be respected by your peers.

CLT timber construction has been on the rise in Europe for many years and is also very well known in North America, but it is still relatively unknown in Switzerland.
Naturabois’s aim is to publicize the many advantages of this type of housing in their country and to convince future homeowners that they now have a real alternative to traditional concrete construction.
Moreover, as Naturabois wishes to develop its concept and make homeowners aware of sustainable development, it systematically offers to install a roof made entirely of integrated photovoltaic panels, as well as a heating system regulated by a hydraulic pellet stove that ensures the house is almost entirely self-sufficient.
Naturabois’s team thus decides to give its company the necessary scale to have a real impact on the sustainable real estate market in Switzerland, following the example of its European role models.
Naturabois thus becomes part of the group of companies managed by the independent, family-owned investment company Swiss Real Estate Properties SA, based in Crans-Montana.
Vanina is now able to effectively share her skills and experience with the group to move the lines in the real estate sector.
A direct consequence of this partnership is that in the near future, the houses offered by Naturabois will from now on be equipped with a system for collecting and filtering rainwater as well as gray water, which can reduce a house's consumption of drinking water by up to 50%, and this is just the beginning of a wonderful adventure...
Goals and values
We believe that a good building depends first of all on a good design.
Naturabois brings its clients together with the group's architectural office, i.e. "Essentiel Architecture", which translates the expression of their desires into a technically and aesthetically sophisticated project that is in line with their budget and our philosophy of residential construction.
This relationship between the architect, Naturabois and our clients is the foundation for the success of these projects.
Building a home is an exciting experience that is often once in a lifetime and must lead to an equally unique realization.
Actively listening to the wishes of our clients, combined with the content of our conversations, allows us to present the project of their future home.
Naturabois undertakes to concretize this project, during which listening, exchange and consultation remain the key words to best meet the needs of each party.

The environmental protection efforts concern all economic sectors and especially the construction sector.
For Naturabois, the design and realization of CLT buildings means ensuring optimal energy performance by using renewable energy and local natural resources as much as possible, while maintaining a very good quality of life for the occupant.
This is also called ecological building. They allow us to achieve the GEAK label A.

In a society where the cost of living is constantly rising, building with Naturabois means, of course, that you save energy year after year, but also that you choose a sustainable, ecological building system at a lower cost.
All our constructions are also designed to immediately generate a real money gain in the construction itself.
Naturabois thus contributes to the introduction of a quality way of living, focused on the future and future generations.
